Toaru Hikuushi e no Koiuta

I was honest intrigued by Toaru Hikuushi e no Koiuta only because the name begin with "Toaru..." or "a certain..." made famous by Toaru Majutsu no Index and Toaru Kagaku no Railgun. However, it had nothing to do with those series, but I found most of it to be a rather enjoyable time. This is far more on the romance side, rather than sci-fi, so it's a nice mix with all the action and comedy I've been looking at this season.

So right from the start, Toaru Hikuushi e no Koiuta featured a dog fight and boy did that shaky cam get on my nerves. It was only a few minutes, but if all dog fight are going to be like that, I'm not sure if I need to skip them because the frame rate plus the non-fixed camera can be pretty sickening. Regardless, although the romance parts of the series seem to be progressing really quickly, I found the start of this Romeo & Juliet like tale cute, if anything. Plus there is this hint of a revenge plot that involved the male lead and it's got me curious to see why this was caused and what actions the male lead will take to resolve this anger.

So despite that confusion in the name, and the unsettling camera on plane fights, Toaru Hikuushi e no Koiuta seems like a pretty decent story so far. I will stick around to see how this romance between a commoner and a noble progresses; plus those teases for revenge and the characters involved are very interesting considering Kal-El and Ariel don't seem to be related even though they call each other brother and sister.
