I was super excited to see Seitokai Yakuindomo make its return because of the variety of sex jokes made throughout this series, without it actually being that explicit. So with the first episode, I can say quite confidently that despite the gap between seasons, I'm thoroughly impressed by this season.
And with that gap, we see an up in animation quality. Now, I'm not one to really comment on things like animation, but that intro was some extravagant shit to say the least. Regardless, the introduction itself was long winded yet necessary -- since the period between season is about a three year, if you don't count the OVAs. And man does it feel good to have a genuine laugh throughout a single episode and it isn't the generic type of slapstick that many anime try to pull off and fail.
Really, if Seitokai Yakuindomo* is going to be as funny as this episode, I'm completely fine with the formula it established and I will be sticking around for sure. There isn't that many straight up comedies that I watch, but this is certainly one of the better ones and I'm glad that it didn't age poorly.
