The description of Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi seemed interesting enough to warrant checking out. However, right now the execution isn't really catching my attention all to much.
The whole "God abandoned the earth so no one dies", seemed simple enough, but the rule that was setup in this episode, gets broken often and I'm not sure why. The scene where the village get slaughtered by Hampnie Hambart -- such an odd name to have by the way, hump hump hump -- one person out of the whole village would end up still moving. He did so, even with half of his head gone, but everyone else looked perfectly fine and the didn't move an inch. Very strange to see an inconsistency so early into the series.
It also was very odd to see a little girl so happily digging up graves like it was nothing special. Ai, the no-so-gravekeeper might have been lied to by the villagers, who told her she was a gravekeeper, but she just a human. Which is why I wonder why Hampnie Hambart decided to "kill" all of the villagers, but not Ai. There is this special treatment thing going on around Ai, that I do want to continue watching to figure out why, but it's probably just because she is one of the main characters.
Kami-Nai really is a mixed bag for me, and I will continue to see how this anime plays out in the next few episodes before having a final judgement.
