As I mentioned back when I took my month long break, the anime I was most looking forward to was the second season of Gin no Saji -- more famously know as Silver Spoon. So with the first episode popping up, this is the first time in a quite a while that I have been excited for an anime to air. And with this first episode, I would say that Silver Spoon was brought back on a golden platter and severed up with silver spoons -- but I'm exaggerating to make a silver spoon joke.
So the only complaint I had last season was that there was only teasing of future conflict between characters, and no sign of really trying to touch it. Well, right at the start of the second season we quite explicitly jump right into character issues, and I'm pretty psyched that we are getting these dealt with early on in the season. It happened to be with Mikage and Komaba, so we get to see move complex development happening between side characters and not just Hachiken.
It doesn't seem like Hachiken will be taking the backseat in this season since he will be in another uncomfortable situation -- first being the conflict developing between Mikage and Komaba, and the other is his new position as vice president of the equestrian club. Really I'm not sure if I'm just pump to see more progress in the world of Silver Spoon, or it is legitimately good, either way I can't wait for what's to come.
